Life Rattle No. 1333 features three classic stories about gowing up by Life Rattle Writer Jillian McKelvey.

Jillian McKelvey was born in Winnipeg, the youngest of three daughters, in 1952. She grew up in Winnipeg then moved with her family to Vancouver before returning to Winnipeg to go to university when she was 21. She married at 23 and, 2 years later, moved with her husband to Mississauga, just 3 weeks after adopting their son. Jill McKelvey returned to school after more than twenty years away, to complete her B.A. and M.A. She currently lives in Mississauga with her husband and 3 children.

Jillian McKelvey take us from sweet to salty, with three stories that showcase the progression of young womanhood. Central to our protagonist’s development in stories two and three, is her father, who tries with all his will and might to protect his daughter from the onslaught of the dreaded penis. Will healthy sexual development prevail?
