She went to an all-girls school in Sudbury before starting University of Toronto at Mississauga in 1998. She graduated in 2002 then went on to study graduate journalism at Humber College.
Vanessa Mariga has written a series of stories set in and concerning her home town. On tonight’s program we’re going to hear three stories about family members and young romance. .
With a direct and honest style, Mariga keeps us engaged and avoids sticky sentiment. We get to fill in the spaces…that’s the best kind of short story writing.
